Do I call a black person who is an asshole a n*gger? No. I call them an asshole. When you intentionally refer to her with the wrong pronouns, it shows other trans people that you disrespect them and will use your power over them if prompted.

I disrespect that specific person for throwing a temper tantrum in a store over nothing.
I make fun of this person the same way I would make fun of a woman who was born a woman and identifies as a woman. If some bitch went off on me in the same fashion as this dude because I called her "sir" by accident, I would keep calling her sir just to fuck with her because she has made a big deal over nothing and I no longer give a shit if that person is comfortable because she didn't show me the same courtesy by immediately being a dickhead about it instead of politely correcting me or, failing that, understanding that mistakes happen and not to worry about a stranger misgendering her.
I barely buy into the whole trans thing as it is but I have no problem with sensible people who act sensible and don't, say, destroy a GameStop.
I disrespect dicks being taped to assholes, regardless of what gender you identify with. That idea makes my balls shoot up into me and makes my dick enter "cold turtle" mode.
What the fuck is wrong with yall? Trans women are women. End of story. Stop calling her a ladyboy. Stop misgendering her on purpose. You know who could be reading this? A trans kid too terrified of the bullying to come out as trans. A trans person, post-op. A nonbinary teen struggling with making people understand. Reading shit like this isn't helping any of them. Bullying kills. Fuck off.
Most of this isn't transphobia. That asshole blew up over what was most likely a slip of the tongue. I have accidentally called a guy ma'am before. I, a straight woman, have also accidentally been called a man before. This shit happens. The best way to respond is to laugh it off, not blow a gasket
If your attack on someone requires you to use intolerant terminology it's a weak attack and shows you'd rather turn yourself into an intolerant fuckwit than use your brain for 20 seconds to come up with something better.
I'm not saying that calling this person a ladyboy is right; it's rude and wrong and generally uncalled for. However, respect is earned, and when someone flips out and is ready to fight a retail worker for what was most likely a slip of the tongue does not make people want to give that respect.
Sometimes name-calling is exactly what is necessary. Especially in front of peers. Calling it like you see it usually isn't considered a bad trait. Laziness is; therefore be accurate with your name-calling.
