We recently got an Alexa at work in our operation room to play music etc. One day when cleaning that shitty thing turned on by itself and started playing Rammstein. My coworker and I were in another room quite far away from it. I was so happy I wasn't alone in the building that time or else I would have bolted straight out of there and fucked the cleaning

get alexa to play "activating deadly laser defense system" and then make a rising pitch whirring noise

Make it more real by making some "turrets" and integrating their controls into Alexa so it can activate them and make them move. Movement tracking wouldn't actually be that hard to put in them either and you could probably make the whole shabang for 100 bucks with the right parts
