Afghanistan and Iraq actually have a lot of green and brown in them. Enough that forest camo and OCP make some sense.
But UCP was a terrible mistake that should never be repeated.
Kinda the climate would be similar. High altitude but thats the thing. Afghanistan or at least where the violence is is crazy mountainous. Very hostile environment without the Taliban. But NOT a flat desert. Iraq is pretty deserty in places but can get pretty woodsy especially by either the tigris or Euphrates. Sparse vegetation but not like the Sahara.
Yeah... I was kinda envisioning Flagstaff but with small bushes instead of pines. Side note, ever watched Fire in the Sky? Talking about Flagstaff reminded me of that movie lol... that movie was messed up.
Havnt seen it. But i have been to flagstaff. Very beautiful. New Mexico Wyoming Arizona west Texas and parts of Utah are honestly some of the prettiest places on the planet. If youre into rugged nature that is.
Yeah, it's a beautiful place. Anyway, Fire in the Sky is based off a dude's account of being abducted outside Flagstaff... it's a hilariously fucked up movie if aliens scare you. My step brother has like... a phobia... and that movie and then the episode of "The Outer Limits" with the zanty misfits totally screw with him even to this day and I find it hilarious. For me, Silence of the Lambs, the TV version of IT and the halloween Ernest movie with the mucus covered Manbearpig thing are what creep me out.
