Must resist, defending Pooh.

Pooh has a substance abuse problem. Honey occupies much of his mind and he can’t go long without it. He needs it, he’s willing to lie, cheat, and steal from friends and family to get it. Without it- he’s be a mess. He’s so dependent after 40 years that for as long as it took to get clean, he’d be useless. That’s a perfect combo. An addict in withdrawal and a clinically depressed friend. Nothing could possibly go wrong. So maybe Eeyore is Pooh’s crutch- his excuse why he can’t get clean. Or maybe Pooh knows Eeyore needs him. Maybe he hit the honey to start because being around a depressed friend who nothing you try to cheer up weighed on him and he needed an escape. Casual use turned to a need and now it’s a cycle. Tigger of course is as depressed as Eeyore- but hides it and denies it through being ultra cheery. We’ve seen when he is stripped of distractions and trappings that he falls into deep pedression. We are all just broken people doing our best. Give Pooh a break.
