I think the point is, night memers' sense of humor decay with the lack of sleep, they insult people and then laugh at nonsense shit (like deep fried memes, or this), which give people like this pigeon a sense of accomplishment, thinking they're funny, when they're, in fact, in the VIP section of the fucked up club.
(other possibility : late night memers like dirty stuff so they got a lot of lemon, which is a synonym for smut).
