Translations can vary. In some cases instead of tail its talking about a penis. So it could be refering to an elephant with a penis like the trunk of a tree.

grrrr as a christian this makes me so mad. the bible doesn't say there weren't dinosaurs. i don't know where that came from. @mrsuperman8942 yes several places dinosaurs are mentioned
Ah but the Bible tells us that the world is ca 6000 years old (once you've worked through all the begats). Ergo, anything seemingly older is a trick. Belief is personal and shouldn't be measured, but those who claim the Bible is s book of facts lack the capacity for critical thought.
congradulations @snowbeast! it took you one comment before you reverted to personal jabs rather than actually debating. if you want to debate facts, most people on this site will debate facts. but when you just say "the people on the other side of the argument lack the ability to think" (paraphrased of course) then you immediatly lose the element of respect.
also while were on the subject critical thinking, what all profe is their for the big bang? cause everything all seems to be speculation (hence the term theory) or a perfect example of circular reasoning, so while my beliefs can't be upright proven, niether can yours, and i don't claim that they already have been proven.

We use the term “theory” colloquially to refer to something that is not real, but that is not the case scientifically.
The Big Bang theory is real and based on proven science. The science is very complex and maybe not accessible to the average person, but that doesn’t make it less real. I don’t know how to perform surgery, but I still believe it can be done.
From a religious perspective, there are some great theological scholars that go to the trouble to relate science with biblical teachings (even the Big Bang and creation) And if you accept that science and religion are not at odds, you realize that there is plenty of room for both.
The term "Dinosaur" wasn't used until it was coined by Richard Owen in 1842. Before that we called them "Dragons" in English which was first used in 1220 and used in English versions of the bible by 1340. This stemmed from the French word "Dragon" which is directly taken from the Latin "Draconem". This in turn derived from the Greek word Drakon. Religious beliefs should not exempt you from using your common sense. And parents need help their kids learn that just because something isn't explicitly stated as (fill in the blank) doesn't mean it can't possibly exist.
