I'm not saying it was a bad idea, but they were pretty buff and strong. Wouldn't mind keeping the strong and smart alive.

The smart people were the Athens. I’m fairly sure they adopted some of the babies. I could be wrong tho

They were both really smart. Athens was just economics focused and their smart went to making that better. Sparta had very similar smart just with a cultural focus on combat and battle.
