My sister in the Navy said they had "time out" cards during basic training. If you got too stressed out you could raise your card and get a break. That worries me a little.
yes and in combat if you did not not learn efficiently you will not be as effective as those that did.
one good example is the fact that on average people that learn to shoot without live ammo shoot more far accurately than those that didnt.
throwing people into an extremely stressful situation without having properly prepared them for it (not even talking about combat yet just training) will result in demoralized students who are not taking in the information they are supposed to be learning. There is an entire science behind teaching people anything and just because you have beliefs about it doesn't change any of the hard facts.
