And yet there's not exactly a shortage of Holocaust deniers. We've entered the post factual age quite a while ago. Accuse someone of anything, bring as much proof as possible and yet the accused is likely to just call it a "witch hunt" based on "fake news". Works for presidents, so why not for nazis.
Holocaust denial is a fascinating subject. So much of it hinges on the bizarre theory that, sure, some genocide may have happened, but we were lied to about the whole thing. It's completely nuts.
Not sure if he ordered this as SAC, kudos to him if he did.
He did, however, make a very interesting TV address as his farewell speech where he spoke about the dangers of mixing business & war. It's on youtube. A military man telling the American people about the military-industrial complex right in the middle of a Cold War. That's impressive.
Whats really sad is that Holocaust reports first started showing up as early as '43. But for several reasons allied commanders just couldnt and wouldnt believe it. It was so horrible to believe. They couldnt understand why the nazis would devote the resources they did the men the fuel the administration effort. As early as August '44 the Soviets over ran several death camps in Poland including Majdanek and Sobibor. It wasnt untill Western allied troops litteraly walked in the front gate that the holocaust was universally "discovered" despite prior knowledge. There is archive footage of Eisenhower visiting one. He is visibly shocked.
yeah, they wouldnt believe it because its crock of fucking shit

You're a great example of what I was talking about above. Takes one minute to look at your postings and a child can see you're the stereotype of a fact-resistant rightwing numbnut
Holocaust denial isn't right wing. We love Jews, and putting down the evil regime that slaughtered so many is something we are eternally grateful to our fathers and grandfathers for.
First of all I said rightwing numbnuts,. Then, holocaust denying is something that happens on the right side of the spectrum, not exclusively, but mainly. Don't be a fool to deny that or the fact that there is a lot of antisemitism on the right. Some of "you" love jews, well, Israel, for absurd and obscure religious reasons and as an ally against the real enemy (except the House of Saud). And the suggestion that the USA fought Germany because of the holocaust is even less correct than to suggest the american civil war was fought to free the slaves.
You do so love putting words in my mouth.
Holocaust denial doesn't have a place on either side of the isle. And antisemitism is hardly popular in America outside of fringe groups throughout the political spectrum.
I never claimed we fought because of the holocaust, just that the ending the holocaust is something we are very proud of our fathers and predecessors for.
Frankly, a lot more people are convinced that the holocaust is pretty much the only thing that made up for American men and boys dying by the thousands on European soil against an enemy that never touched us. The second time, at least.

No dude, you're just so bad at putting words into your own mouth, you don't even realize what they are clearly implicating.
