My life in one picture and a bottled up trauma! (nah just kidding I've dealt with the trauma)
Edit bc of guest's comment : 1. it's relatable, so I'm relating, and 2. there are a lot of kind people here who would comment about the trauma so I prefer being honest.

You develop personality on your own, the people around you may shape it, but it comes from you. But let’s pretend we all believe in some form of devinity or enlightenment. Now- let’s look at monks secluded in a monastery living lives of thought and chastity and restraint- they would from the perspective of this “universal truth” be the quiet and well behaved humans in a juvenile species no? It isn’t aspirational to want to be flawed. The fact that you are advanced compared to others shouldn’t be looked at by you as a handicap. It might suck to see people enjoying things that you aren’t a part of- but we Decide what we do and do not want to be. For those not living as monks it can enhance life to occasionally indulge in things and behaviors they know aren’t aspirational- but we all have our own balance point.
