You know I've watched the gif a few times, and the railing seems to get him right in the gut/hips, so there's a chance his ribs may in fact be fine. They're likely the only part of him that is

Hey, at least they paused on the stairs, for like, 10 seconds. Of course it was probably to make sure they didn't get landed on
