Even back in highschool I'd publicly give affection to friends that were comfortable with it be it hugs or reminding them they are loved. I'll never understand why it's so weird to show love to people you love

It lays bare your vulnerability which is against traditional male social expectations. I also tell and show my love more than the norm to those I care for (am female).

It is easy to forget that many people come from broken homes, I grew up proud of my family and the love we all had for one another. Kids who would comment negatively always came from a home where they were not given such love.
