While this is a very powerful image, it might be better to put this as nsfw, friend. This is very graphic and sad for our fallen brothers in Sri Lanka <3
While we mourn for those we have lost we should take solace in the word of our lord and know that those now lost were greeted with the warmth and kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ, know that we see in the word of our lord the salvation they have arrived at.
John 5:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life."
I leave to you a parting word, the word of our lord to reflect on and take solace in, the following passage.
-
1 Peter 1:3-9
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
There is no reason to downvote @bethorien. Faith can be a wonderful thing to those who believe. It can give hope and joy to an otherwise mad world. Even if we don't believe in a particular religion, we must support the right to worship as one sees fit...as long as it doesn't infringe on anyone else.
@bethorien, while I don't personally subscribe to your beliefs, I am glad that you (and countless others) can find comfort in it.
