I had a video of my daughter the day she was born and all it is is a close up of her sleeping in the little bed in the hospital. No sound no song nothing. They copy righted it. And guess who did it. Johnson and Johnson. I wrote YouTube saying this is fucked up it's my daughter. They responded that the strike was taken off and they were sorry. But seriously my kid was copyrighted by Johnson and Johnson. There wasn't even their products in the video or anything. o.O
I wish I kept the email but this was years ago I was on YouTube when it was brand new. That is how old my account is. After that I never posted another video and marked all my videos private.
This is unacceptable, big companies have no reproductions to make these claims but if the creator messes up 3 times he’ll lose his source of income which is currently locked up and the copyright grounds this company is using is baseless claims about intro music that he has, in writing, permission to use. I’m a Mumbo Jumbo fan.
Problem is the creator of the song used a sample from another song that Warner bros had a copyright on. HOWEVER since that sample was tampered with and essentially remade from the ground up it by far falls in the category of fair use... But companies don't care about fair use one bit. There's no repercussions for them if they're wrong unless they get taken to court, but no individual content creator except maybe PewDiePie can afford to take it to court. Which means the laws of fair use are thrown out the window in favor of companies that are already big and rich.
