And yet if you dont defend your system and another decides to turn you into slaves well then congrats you're now a slave. These people refuse to live in reality.

False the first armies arose from one of 2 things. To attack neighbors for land or resources. And to defend against the former. An armies purpose heavily depends on time period culture government type and previous conflicts. In short HISTORY IS COMPLICATED. DEUS VULT.

As others have aptly said- while militaries often become tools of a system, save for systems controlled by a military, that isn’t their purpose or origins. A “system” can be defined simply as a society- and a military is a tool of force which enacts and preserves the ways and will of that society, or through show of force deters conflict. The “system” of power or government in a democracy is supposed to represent the people, and the military is supposed to be commanded by that government in the interest of the people- so by proxy, the military is supposed to act for the people’s interests. Corruption often gets in the way of the idea, but it isn’t inherent to the military but humanity- just as the purpose of a military or war is as well. The military is a response to a human condition, not a cause.

He is a White Flag salesmen, his family did extremely well in the first few months of WW2, just look at his name. It practically screams surrender. Just kidding.
