It disappeared because they realized they them selfs were to blame for the plague spreading. They made sick people stay away from healthy people and burned the dead who died due to the illness. They than forced cleaning of major streets and streets people lived on. As well as forced better grooming habits.
It made the rats who cared the illness disappear. Taking the illness with them.
They were not able to cure it till 1890s and the illness was in the 1340s
How about the fact that thanks to people discovering that when injected with a small amount of the cow pox virus that person will not get smallpox. It was one of the most important vaccinations every discovered.
Agreed, except on the rats being plague carriers. A recent study has shown it was mostly fleas and lice that spread the plague, so a basic lack of hygiene was to blame.
Except the plague never disappeared. It still exists but due to better hygiene it has become very rare in humans and antibiotics take care of the few cases that appear. Also there wasn't just one outbreak of the plague. Rome had an outbreak that was presumed to be the plague and London had a huge outbreak in the 17th century.
It actually never went away, there are plague cases every year.... It just hasn't gone on a goddamn rampage like it did... oh... and it wasn't just once, it went on a rampage 3 times.
