"Fuck taxes" is unequivocally the most American sentiment. Carry on patriot

That's why so many of your people live in shambles, because a handful rich people have convinced a relative minority of normal people that solidarity and equity mean socialism like in Cuba or 1950's Russia
And you are the stereotypical pretentious foreigner who thinks they've got us all figured out. What's your point? Where did you get the idea that I think we have anything even approaching socialism, or that I want that?
Socialists like to conflate infrastructure with socialism, but don't ask them to explain their reasoning because you'll never find two who can agree.

Immediately after me pointing out western european "socialism" has nothing tom do with what the ussr or their hostages called socialism, there comes the reference to soviet communism. This is objectively daft and pathetic and blueprint american idiocy, so that's not an insult in the very least.. I'm not telling you what to do or to believe, but I can expect you to execute a basic form of information management if you expect me not to treat you like a fucking retard.
I admit I read that incorrectly before responding, and after rereading I actually agree with what you're saying, but you're such a self righteous cunt I'd almost rather keep arguing the wrong point just to spite you

You have every right calling me that, but wouldn't "arguing the wrong point just to spite" prove my point exactly? Just saying...
I work at a local hair salon as a receptionist and the owner actually tells us to encourage clients to tip in cash so the stylists don’t have to pay taxes on it. He’s the best.
at one restaurant I worked at we had two options:
ONE
- get no hourly pay
- your "pay" is 5-15% commission from the profit of the sales
- pay "breakages tax" based on hours regardless of whether you've ever broke anything
- you get to choose your shifts (sort of) with minimum of 3 day, 3 night, and 2 weekend shifts per week.
- you often work unpaid overtime since the next shift is either late, or your customers hang around and you can't transfer the bill
TWO
- get $1.02 USD hourly pay
- get commission from profit of the sales
- still pay "breakages tax"
- they decide your shifts even if you asked them beforehand for a day you had other responsibilities for (test, doctor) and sometimes until the last minute you stress and maybe then they change their mind and "so generously" let you go.
- pay 15% tax (pay as you earn) as well as unemployment benefits (which you'll never see again, it disappears to who knows where)
- you often work unpaid overtime
This is the reason I always tip in cash as well. I also found that some restaurants will not cash out the server's tips that night. The tip will be added to their pay check.
Ok, but most places have calculated tips based on sales percentages so a cash tip makes no difference. At least in restaurants and bars, been that way for many years.
This is stupid. The employees are supposed to pay the employees. It's bad enough that the employees need to be tipped to get enough pay, taxing the tip is next level cruel.
