Pineapple is the best topping for pizza in existence and the proof is in the fact that cooked pineapple had the same consistency as soft crust leading to no consistency clashes like raw pineapple would; the pineapple also adds a sweet flavor to the pizza which complements the mozzarella and tomato sauce. Sweet soft things are also very complementary with ham as shown by ham and jam sandwiches being much more delicious than they have any right to be. Ham and honey tends to be too sweet though.
Now, crispy crust pizza would create a possible problem with the pineapple in that the crust requires harder bites that the pineapple does not and fragmenting instead of being cut on bites which does create a small clash with the pineapple, but the cheese and the sauce generally alleviate that issue.
I guess flat cakes is meant as the opposite of deep dish? Idk maybe it's a joke I don't get because I'm not American and therefore not acquainted with these pizza chains
Anyway I think pineapple and ham on pizza isn't bad. The fruit + meat combination isn't at all unheard of and I don't get why so many people rage about it. I mean it's not my favorite because I'm more into spicy stuff but it's alright.
Also, anyone ever tried that pea + mayo pizza the internet's been obsessing over a few months back? It sounds gross but might actually be interesting.
Siracha or habenero sauce is always good if you need some spice on Hawaiian pizza. I think flat cake is just a normal crust, as later on guest talks about a crispy crust, which I'd assume to be a thin crust. A thinner crust and that shatter can be fixed by putting the pineapple on before the cheese, as pointed out halfway.
Pretty much every pizza that isn't vegan or vegetarian has some sort of meat vs fruit ratio, as tomatoes and peppers are also fruits. Even with a philly cheese-steak pizza with white sauce, you'd expect green peppers...
That pea+mayo pizza sounds like a crime against humanity.
