It's a phenomena we don't usually see as it usually only happens under extreme stress. The body is never using 100% of its strength cause it's main goal is to conserve energy, a really cool example is when this 19 yr old girl lifted a truck on fire to save her dad who was trapped under it. Of course you can still damage yourself but we are capable of extreme strength.
this is one reason why the idea of zombies is so scary, not only are they better "walk after it till it dies of exhaustion or makes a mistake" hunters than us but they are also not limited by the brains tendency to prefer to protect its body from damaging itself
Yeah, what would suck is a zombie who could actually use their brain but not to the point where they care but to the point where they could still be relatively smart.
Like Marvel Zombies? Imagine superhuman monsters that are just as smart and skilled (Spiderman, Captain America, Wolverine, Iron Man), but are so desperately hungry that they focus 100% on getting their next meal.
As an electrician who has been shocked more than all of you combined I would like to point out of you have been thrown a great distance (say 10 feet) due to "electrical shock" it has nothing to do with your untapped strength. Being thrown across the room tells me this is a case of Arc flash. Which turns the panel or transformer into a.bomb, I have meet people who have caused an Arc flash with their screw driver and the arc melted the blade right off
Also even at lower amperages, it is possible to be unable to let go while being lit up because the currents entering your body will fuck up your nervous system causing your muscles to seize up and become unresponsive. Don't fuck with electricity and be damn sure you be careful from learning about electricity from a meme
Good info. When I was ten, I was dumping grass clippings out for some sheep. The sheep were on the other side of an electric fence from me and I didn't think about the fact that the grass bag was metal-lined until it was too late.
,
I was pulling the grass bag up (the fence didn't zap me on the down swing) and BAM my arms shot straight up. The bag was probably close to 30lbs and my little kid arms flung it at least 20ft up into the air. I'm glad I didn't injure myself but I always made sure to avoid electric fences after that.
