No, it's just the front of the door is now on the inside. Nothing some paint or stain can't fix.
Or.. it might have looked the same on both sides, then there is no issue.

they could've just mirrored the door so that the front part of it was still on the outside or opens left to right instead of right to left

That would require making an entire new door, which isn't worth it. Paint/stain and a sealer is MUCH cheaper.
