I was sick, my ears wouldn't pop, and when I got off the plane they still wouldn't pop. Worse sinus pressure ever.
It was a bronchitis, a sinus infection, and mono all at once on flight from NY to DFW.
That's also the sickest I've ever been.
I have two. 1. JFK>SFO. Work trip. Trip there- great. Trip back, they booked me on some lousy airline that was like a bus/cattle car of the sky. Not even enough space to get two armrests to yourself. It stopped at like every major airport between the coasts to board/de board passengers. Food, drinks, WiFi cost money. Miserably hot. Would give negative stars but at least they didn’t crash. Never will fly again. No idea what airline but I’ve made it clear not to book them for anything ever again. 2. OAK>LGB- a friend flew me down for a weekend with her when I was younger. Flight is supposed to be about an hour. So no drinks or food on flight. LGB was jammed. Ran out of fuel while circling and holding. Landed in Arizona to refuel. Nonfood or drinks brought on. All in all it was a 6 hour flight instead of 1 hour. LGB was fogged in on last attempt after refuel. Landed at LAX. Friend had to drive over an hour across the valley while I waited- then over an hour back together. That sucked.
So I had been in Africa traveling the continent for over a month I was the only American on the tour, thus being alone at an airport in Nairobi Kenya for my first flight before landing in Paris and then heading back to the States. Boarding and all went fine, we where all seated a d fine but we had been sitting for a solid five mins not too bad, we started moving down the runway before pulling along to a little side road ( not quite sure how accurate that description is because it was dark and had no idea what the airport layout was) and parked. We sat there for a good ten mins when what I presume was the pilot came over the intercom to say, "Sorry for the delay everyone, one of the engine lights are red and saying that it has a problem, since an airplane is a giant computer we're just gonna turn the plain off for ten minutes then start it back up and see if that fixes." As the intercom cuts off all the lights and everything went off just darkness and I was like this can't possibly
Continuation)) be how it works, the lady next to me was extremely nervous and breathing hard and I'd be lying if I said I also wasn't nervous, well ten minutes pass and the lights all come back on and our beloved pilot returns over the intercom "Sorry about the delay everyone but the warning light has gone off and we should be good to go." Within minutes we where in the air and that is still the only flight I have never been able to sleep on, for those who are wondering, yes we made it to Paris fine.
Me and a coworker were flying from Zurich to Atlanta. We got as far over land as possible, the very tip of britanny, when the pilot comes over the intercom stating that they were going to land qt Heathrow due to an error. He was very calm in his deliberation so i thought nothing of it. When we got over heathrow and began to land I was looking out the window. I saw lights from a line of firetrucks and ambulances that stretched a good distance down the run way. That's when it hit me that something was really wrong. In the same seconds of me looking out the window the plane hit the ground hard and bounced. It bounced severeal times before finally getting on solid ground. Honestly that was the scariest time of my entire life.
