Isn't it ironic that he demands people to speak english in a foreign country, a country where not a lot of people speak english. I see the sweet irony, but hey, it just might be me.

Ironic? Ironic would be perhaps asking them to speak German. Luckily they don’t- because the last time the Americans went to France en force it wasn’t an invasion, the opposite really- but you know... C’est la vie.
