-make a tower and put torches on it
-use a campfire with hay under it
-dont wander off too far and just stick to one direction/a coastline
-JUST WRITE DOWN YOUR BASE COORDS
The irony is my world is on Xbox, and about half of what I built was before creative mode. I built an entire ocean and a beach 8 blocks above the bedrock. In survival mode. I'm talking a big enough beach that cactus started popping up and an ocean so huge that even though it's underground the cavern is so huge that it rains underground and there's sea life. I also used the entirety of a desert to build a glass structure and ended up building a desert in another area to suit a giant statue I built. Not to mention the mountain range I built for a Japanese themed area I built.
Also @nicengelman I have no idea how you would have that much patience, let alone on the XBOX addition. You crazy fam. "I'll just simply move the desert." Is such a powermove.
I used to be really really obsessive when it came to minecraft. I built an apartment complex with 80 units in the style of a British complex I can't think of the name right now. Anyone that visited got to decorate a room if they wanted. Right across the street are 40 townhouses and there's a roller coaster that takes 12 minutes from start to finish. And that's like, a very small area.
@calvinoot I cant Include URLs in comments rn (Dave prob installed that to fight the bots), but I'll send you to my discord that has the download link in it

Thank you! It's a really old method of custom crafting (nowadays 1.12 people can actually make the recipes work in a crafting table), but I wanted the map to have a bit of an older feel to it
