It depends. A lot of Safeways and such will sell large slices for a few dollars. Whole cakes tend to cost more, but it depends on the size of the cake, and how fresh it is. Cakes expiring in a day or three often get sold extremely cheap

That cake at Kroger would run about 8-9 dollars. They have this rectangle cake in the refrigerated section that is freaking great, it's layered with about 2 lays each of chocolate cake, chocolate frosting and moose, and the same for vanilla . Doesn't take much, only a thin slice will take care of a craving. That cake is 9.99
