As long as they call first, I hate pop-ins

My partner is a bit younger and hipper than I. Recently bought a camera doorbell thing against my protests. Solves that problem right up. It texts you whenever someone is near your door or rings the bell, and you can see and hear outside your house from anywhere. So in this post apocalyptic nightmare I recommend one of those.

I have one grandkid here 5-6 days a week. Him and his friend run up to the door , he has to check in hourly. With the door bell (10 times or so) ,yelling, knocking the last thing I need is for my phone to join in the foray. lol

Lol. Yeah. That’s the downside. My phone texts me all day to tel me cars drive by or kids are playing.

I would be getting my ass chewed for not answering the phone , until I showed her the pile of busted plastic and circuitry that was once my phone. lol

The parasite thing in your eyeballs can actually happen though. Not the angel bit - the effect tends to be that you start seeing a black spot in your eye. Actually has happened with maggots in the past

Angels would prolly mean they got your cortex; nothing to worry about, it'll be over soon

This is much better than the AI one yesterday. I never thought one paragraph could give me terrible nightmares.

There's a YA book called "After" that was written by I think 9 different authors, all just short stories about different post-apocalypse scenarios. Of course nothing quite as chilling as this, but had some interesting tales
