Typically, they're hiding under your house or in extremely close proximity. If you set a havahart trap outside, you'll probably catch them in a few hours.
I have a rather mean question.
Why are your pets so stupid! Always getting lost and shit!
Every single 4-legged animal I've kept (cats and dogs) are outdoor and they can literally go for hours by themselves but they always remember their way back home.
Cats and dogs have extremely good memory an very aware of their surrounding, they recognise their owner's voice and have good hearing too, so even if you're far away, just walk around a little and call their name and they'll come.
But not YOURS though! Your pets always get lost!
Actually, our pets get stolen. There's a massive problem in the major cities where people steal pets, remove the collar, and resell them for other means such as dogfights.
The first cat I had ran away while I was visiting my dad, and I guess he didn't expect me to come back.
The second wandered in to the house next door while they were doing construction and those fuck faces took her outside the subdivision and just dropped her off. I saw her two weeks later and almost got her back, but my ex friend fucking sprinted at her and she went zoom never to be seen again.
The third either was chased by something or was chasing something and just wound up a few hundred meters from my house. She had only been around the house for a few months and never left the yard (I'm leaning 90% towards her being chased). My BF since I was 10 lives on the other side of the golf course that winds through the neighborhood and about a week later as he was walking over he found her on the golf course and brought her back. Now she won't even chill in the front yard, she just lounges in the backyard.
dang, that reminds me... we've been homies for 2 decades... we gotta do some special. Perhaps shrooms and swimming in the pool then either a really funny movie or a really trippy movie.
