Basically he made the journey down to wherever this is and a diamondback Water-Snake he knows not only recognizes him, but comes up out of the water and takes a fish out of his hand. It doesn't strike or anything. Just bites it and tries to pull it away and then it immediately goes back into the water, but he's just so happy/excited it remembered him and came up to him (and didn't go up his britches).

There's actually a video out there of a cobra that came into a town on a very hot day and allowed someone to give it a drink from a water bottle. Tbh most snakes only get "aggressive" out of fear. I was surprised it didn't strike, though, but I don't know much about this species
Yeah, it was a King Cobra. King Cobra's are freaking awesome! Highly intelligent, to the point they employ specific strategies depending on the what kind of prey they are currently hunting, like killer whale tactics, and might even be able to remember faces.
