We Al thought her brother was the mad king of the family but he was just an asshole she became the true mad king. She killed for nothing more than to see them suffer. But I think if she had been with her husband and with him by her side she would of eventually figure out how to make the dragons hatch and might of not gone insane.

i vaguely remember george rr martin saying he planned everything of this section from the very beginning and that the show followed his plan correctly
