But also stay sensitive and don’t think that you can tell if someone has depression with a cursory glance. I hide my depression spirals pretty fabulously, and usually outwardly overcompensate for the internal disaster I’m dealing with. Just because someone seems ok doesn’t mean they’re lying about having depression.

the thing with OCD is not only are there different intensities there are also good days and bad days. If im stressed the fuck out already then failing to check my car door 7 times will fuck me up until i do it correct 4 times but if im doing fine then doing it over once will do just fine and on a good day i wont need to do it over ill just have it nagging at me for a few minutes to an hour.

I agree with sentiment of don't lie or fake what you have. It hurts those who have it and makes it much harder for them. However, as other comments pointed out, please don't judge someone out right to be lying. Especially, if say you're not close enough to be the one they call when they have a panic attack, message because they have gone emotionally numb, fear they might hurt themselves, ect, if they can/do even reach out. You can't juge by how great a life seems outwardly either. It often comes from a chemical imbalance in the brain.
