This is actually horrible parenting by her mother. Why would you intentionally give your child this name? It’s almost like giving her a disability. Every time she submitted a paper or resume she has to explain this.

Mary Jane, she's my best friend, she's always been good to me, she come and take all my troubles away... yeh... And she don't stray too far from the west end, she's always been close to me... when she's around I just drift away... yeh.

She does not go by Mary Jane. I watched a documentary/news story about her a few years ago. Her 3rd grade teacher tried to call her that, and her mom came to the school and made the teacher call her by her full name.
