I am white an can confirm. This is all of my friends right now. It's mostly us white women. The second it hits below 70 we bring out the decorations.

At least you are hyped for a holiday, here in México it's mostly meh when it comes to 5 de Mayo, or Independence day. Only people with twitter taking pictures of them feeling so patriotic but the rest of they year... They don't feel like that, one must feel damn proud of their country all year, not just a single day

I'm always hyped for a lot of stuff. Theres also día de niños, día de los muertos, reyes magos. Not to forget we also go door to door for the birth of christ in semana santa

A lot of people don't go door to door here in Monterrey, I've seen it San Luis Potosi but not here, it is indeed pleasant to see people spread joy in that way.

Im from Veracruz, its seen more in small villages and towns but not so much in cities. Here in Texas we just go from family house to family house or do it in one house and everyone takes food
