That must be freaking awkward to have to pose for a pic with a customer solely because you're deaf and found a way to work around it. They must feel like they're in some sort of freak show.

Mind you, I used to work in a cantine for a HUGE international company, and a group of Indians wanted to take a photo of me with our bowls of rice and broccoli. My supervisor said she'll only allow them to if they include her as well. I know it's a different kind of story, but it was quite amusing.

My younger sister is Deaf and she wouldn't mind posing for these types of photos at all. She'd be happy to have something go viral that shows how common deafness is and how simple it is to accommodate.
