I know she's a reptile but how does she feed them without dislodging them. And if they feed apart does she count who comes back?

They make this little grunting sound to signal not only her but any other adult in the area, so an adult always knows where they are. And at the moment I think they're just moving.
Apparently it's in America though. American alligator mums not only help their babies hatch, but also protect them for up to a whole year. That's when she usually has to take care of her next hatch.
Thanks @Grimreaper. I lived in Mississippi ,Alabama and Florida and I was trying to make it some strange alligator or crocodile. Hope it got the kids home safe .
