All it really needed was a friend

Bearded dragons are the most gentle little dudes. We had one named Kulan, because when he ate his full his belly was round as a marble, and he was just this sweet old man. We would make crowns and thrones out of his favorite salad and then he would sit there with this huge grin just enjoying his hot light. In his old age, when he ate, he would forget that he was eating and then just stand around with his mouth full of food. We had to slowly help him eat the last couple of years, that time was quiet and peaceful and I think he enjoyed the bonding just as much as we did. I miss him.
