Perhaps this is a misstatement since the only REAL predator of tigers tends to be humans. Perhaps "enemies" would be a better word. Sloth bears, other wild cats, perhaps even some species of birds of prey

Bears, elephants, and big buffalos can become a concern, as they are sturdy and large enough to inflict some damage.
Another potential predator of tigers are the Asiatic wild dogs (Cuon alpinus), which are also called Dholes

Even a fully grown wild boar can take on a Tiger, have you seen the size of those things? They said they have hide so thick even a tiger's teeth have trouble getting through it.
Evolution takes a long time. During the ice age and earlier, there were larger versions of pretty much every animal, plenty of which could whoop a modern tiger. Those animals have only been dead for 10-15k years.
