Additionally: no?
She has nothing about her that even remotely says "Ariel" other than her hair is the wrong color of red. Other actress at least has a slightly disney princess vibe about her
Why, Bill. Just - why haven’t you noticed the pattern of young females being beaten up by society as a joke, and decided that’s not you? You’re way older than 15. Shame on your lack of intellectual development. Shame on anyone over 15 who participates in this nonsense.
I mean the Kardashians have actively exploited their children for sexual attention, started actually dangerous trends, contributed to body shaming, promoted products that don't work or lied about their effectiveness. They've promoted or outright branded products with their names that exploit womens' insecurities. Not to mention Kanye West literally commissioned a giant wax piece that featured several celebrities naked in bed with him and Kim - and don't worry, they made sure Kim's ass was hanging out the entire time.
.
Kylie is probably the lesser of the evils, but she's not some shrinking violet or a victim.
They are far and removed from being advocates for body positivity.
.
Not to mention they literally ARE full of plastic and use that to, once again, exploit the insecurities of other women. And there IS too much plastic in the ocean. No idea how much implants contribute to it, mind you.
They have also promoted dangerous diets and weight loss pills.
.
On top of which Bill actually does and has contributed to dealing with the environmental issues he's referencing. No idea where the Kardashians stand on that because frankly they're just so far beyond contrived even the little I do know of them is way more than I could have ever wanted.
.
So maybe he doesn't have a problem making a joke that "shames" a group of women who use plastic and their status to exploit other women. Just a thought.
.
Or maybe that's all BS and he's just making a joke. Either way, if you're trying to shame people for brutalizing women on the internet, I think you have much bigger fish to fry than Bill Nye
@xvarnah I can’t help you; you use the fact that other people engage in a bad behavior as a reason why it’s not a problem. There’s not enough similarity in our perspectives to discuss the matter.
