why the downvote, current gun laws aren't doing what they're "supposed" to be doing, regardless of the situation of the gun death, the meme only says that gun laws aren't protecting the U.S. from mass shootings, which isn't wrong, and in its simplicity the most accurate of memes regarding gun violence and gun laws. to attempt to go more complex on the issue and still maintain accuracy would result in a non humorous meme which by common standards isnt a "meme"
This applies to either side of the aisle whether you support less stringent gun regulation or stronger gun regulation, the current system isn't working. A recent poll conducted by the APM research lab concluded that ~70% of americans supported red flag laws. This indicates a desire to reduce gun deaths and ultimately an understanding by americans that the current system isn't working.
If carried out against civilians or noncombatants for political purposes or to deliberately intimidate a population, yeah. Otherwise it's just multiple counts of plain old-fashioned murder.
