I think they’d be better off not doing tricks for money regardless, because they can sometimes get mistreated
Tbh the problem likely isn't even them being kept in captivity at all, it's that the enclosures they'd require to have any semblance of healthy/happy lives no facility has ever truly been able to provide or maintain. This is better for the animals in the long run, though I will miss being able to see them.

That said they say "for entertainment" and I'm hoping they mean that in a good way as iirc the Vancouver aquarium had two rescue dolphins that they were getting into scraps with activists over a few years ago
