But if you remember it, couldn't you just follow the same steps you did in the past to get the desired result? Would not explaining things upfront change the nature of your relationship and thus ruin the whole point of time travelling? If you were going to do this and probably screw with the timeline anyway, why not go back and stop 9/11 or something? Unless its because you quantum leap back into your own body, in which case, did you kill the previous person you were, the person that would be his wife? Does he now have to kill you, as the future killer of his future wife? What if your intervention gets him killed easier anyway? Also, if 'used all your resources' does that mean that time travel is only for the rich in the future, or did you manage to invent time travel? This raises too many questions, Elli

I'm actually still hung up on the improbability of Tony's perfectly sculpted facial hair from the original Iron Man, but I'm sure I'll get around to it

Tony's facial hair is easily explained... he has an off-screen AI bot that laser cuts his shit every morning as he brushes his teeth.
