But what if we factor in all the inflation and stuff? Also, like, I can invest and work. That's what regular people do. They work, while they also invest and save. Thats some bullshit logic.

Call me a socialist all you want but one person shouldn’t have that much money when people are regularly living in impoverished conditions. Even if he donated .01% of his wealth, he could fund better lives for thousands of people by helping them get their foot in the door
A lot of billionaires agree with you. There are a lot that have signed up for The Giving Pledge where they commit to donating at least half of their net worth in their lifetime to people who need it.
See the real reason why you wouldn't have a lot of money is because Columbus never sailed to America he landed in the Caribbean and not only that he didn't sell TO America he actually got lost. He was looking for a way to the West Indies that's why people here in America call native Americans Indians. The idiot thought he landed in India.
No one said it was part of the United States, actually you are the only one to talk about countries that didn't exist when he sailed
What you've said is the equivalent of "jo bobby didn't make it to Europe, he stopped in London and came back"
The post says he sailed to America. Not north or south America but just America.
Here in USA we call our self's America not United States of America.
But he didn't sail TO us even though the story goes he did. It has been proven he didn't even make it to America. He made it to NORTH America but we are not the only country part of North America.
That is what I am saying.
You didn't exist yet. America at the time of Columbus wasn't a word yet but in context of "sailing to America" it means anywhere in the new world. That's what America meant to anyone that used that term before they United States stupidly decided to call themselves shorthand for the whole god damn region
Excuse you what is your problem? Do have a vendetta against the US or something?
Because honestly it sounds like it.
Look I was just trying to explain that Columbus didn't sail to America at all he was selling to somewhere else. He accidentally ended up in North America and he didn't even land in USA THE PLACE WHERE WE CELEBRATE A DAY FOR HIM. He landed in a territory. Which at the time was just a bunch of islands and he called the people there Indians all because he thought they were IN India.
Columbus murdered enslaved and stole from those people all because he ended up in the wrong place. God forbid if he would have ended up in the right place what would have happened to the people there.
And what it sounds like to me is you have some situation you need to deal with about your attitude towards America I'm sorry if you think our country is terrible in some way but you know what there isn't one country that doesn't have problems.
As much as I’m enjoying your argument I do have to pop a couple of things in here. First, Columbus wasn’t trying to get to India. He was trying to get to Indonesia. Secondly, he landed first in the Bahamas which is North America, so it can be reasonably judged that the “America” in the original content is accurate though it could easily be confused with be shorthand for the USA.
Also a little fun fact: as an explorer he wasn’t all that bloodthirsty. The reason he is considered by many to be a monster is the brutality during his governorship of Hispaniola. He was such a piece of crap that the King of Spain had him arrested and brought back home so he could fire him personally.
the reason america celebrates a day for his is because Italian immigrants lobbied harder than everyone else for the explorer of their blood to be celebrated. Thats it. Thats the only reason.
your whole comment chain hinges on your misinterpretation of the phrase "sailed to america" because you cant seem to wrap your head around the idea that THE UNITED STATES DIDNT EXIST FOR HIM TO NOT SAIL TO
