Why are you downvoting him? He’s correct. The EC is ingenious and effective. It’s not a simple concept so if all you know about is that states have different numbers of electoral votes I suggest you read up on how the whole thing works.

I have my issues with the Electoral College, but I can't think of any other system that would work better. It operates correctly and as intended most of the time.

This is just blatantly incorrect. I really, really wish people would actually read up on these things and do some research before arbitrarily posting random, hyperbolic, politically driven posts in the neverending quests for clicks to validate their self worth.
