I'm really not digging that part. What Scooby was saying was always pretty obvious, there was no need to do this. I also didn't hear one "Like, Scooooobs" from Shaggy. I bet they'll going to avoid the whole... "Shaggy is a massive pothead" thing as well.
I mean, to each their own. Things have to change, though. You can’t just rehash something in the same way for 40 years and expect audiences to continue to have the same reaction. Scooby Doo is, and always has been, primarily a kid’s show. This means that it must evolve to new standards. I think people get to hung up on nostalgia. No one is going to make new episodes in the style of the original. I think that’s what people are looking for, but it’s just not going to happen.
Remember, adults at the time hated A Pup Named Scooby Doo, but it is now considered a cult classic cartoon. Children are easy to entertain because they are so open-minded. By the time we grow to be adults, we become critical, and even cynical, of everything around us. I prefer to keep an open mind about new entertainment. Not everything new is going to he good, there are a lot of shit cartoons out at the moment, but personally, I think they took this in a good direction. I think it’s going to be an enjoyable movie for many years to come.
