Depending upon state law: any gun which looks like a gun- regardless of it has an orange tip, is a B.B. gun, airsoft, nerf, or literally a prop that does nothing- may be considered a dangerous weapon for purposes of law, and is no different than walking down the street with a real weapon as far as the legal repercussions. Anything that looks like a real weapon or could be mistaken as one could be dangerous. But by the letter of the law a glue gun- Unaltered from original configuration- avoids most legal complications one might have with even “toy” or replica guns.
