Reminds me of this story I heard from a police officer. He'd gotten reports of a car driving around in a park in the middle of the day. When he got there, he found a headless body sitting in the driver's seat. About 15 to 20 minutes later, he found a tree that had a noose with a head in it. Guy had apparently tied a noose around his neck and put the pedal to the metal, cleanly decapitating himself.
Probably just the head.
My mom was highly pregnant with me, on the way back home, just having bought me a blanket at a shop in another town, when a kid (~23-26 yo) on his motorbike got hit on the side by a car.
This is a fast road, 100 km/h, so he was flung off at quite the speed: his head, still inside the helmet, got cleanly ripped off his body.
My mom used to work in EMS, so she stopped her vehicle across the road to stop the other drivers from driving over his body, and tried to see if he was still alive. When she noticed he was headless, and his head still inside the helmet, she used the blanket to cover him up until paramedics could arrive. This was before cellphones were in common use, so someone had to drive down to the nearest farm shop and call for assistance.
Yeah, she deals with shit straight away and shock only comes after. I don't know, she was apparently quite late stage, but not stressful enough to cause labour, so I think I turned out okay.
