Squish the paste down into the bristles and you won't have this problem.

or just wash the brush and then apply toothpaste

Wet the brush BEFORE putting tooth paste on.

C'mon guys.. Wet the bristles first, then brush your teeth and THEN eat the glob of toothpaste.
