Bringing a radio to the beach is a normal thing. If you were Soo desperate for peace and quiet you should of booked a private beach. What's next? Are you going to ask that All adults with out kids be banned from Disney?
Sounds like you Bring your speaker to the beach. I got news for you: nobody likes you. People go to a place because they want to be at that place. Headphones were invented for bringing your personal music in public.
You bring the radio to have fun. You play music, eat lunch, swim, maybe surf, and enjoy the day at the beach.
Only boring people bring a book or just sit there.
Look up every single movie or TV show there ever was that had a scene where people are at the beach. You will see every single one had some form of radio. Hell most even made their own music and bring guitars AND that is not counting musicals.
Now I wouldn't be blasting it to kingdom come but I would have it loud enough for me and my group.
Like I said before music at the beach is normal. What it sounds like to me is a bunch of vacationers bitching about townies.
@mrscollector the best argument in favor of your opinion would be the opposite scenario. people getting mad about people trying to be quiet in a library. When you go somewhere, you have a broad idea of what you’re going to get and you can’t complain about the scenario. When you go to the beach, you know there will be loud people playing music and screaming and yelling. You go to a park, you know there’s going to be kids running around and screaming and yelling. You go to a library, you know you are supposed to be quiet. If you don’t like atmosphere, don’t go.
Truly it sounds like a bunch of introverted boomers crying about kids these days lmao.
The beach is for family fun. If you are going alone and want peace and quiet than you should go on a week day. Not a weekend and sit far from everyone. Because honestly to insist people keep quiet in a public open place like the beach isn't going to happen.
OK real talk now: I get that it’s not reasonable to be requesting total silence, only trying to say that consideration and moderation are generally appreciated. If I’m being serious I think that music out loud, and the volume of it definitely depends on if you are there with other people, and how many. Playing loud music out loud when you are in a populated public space, especially at a high volume, when alone is just plain unnecessary. But at a beach party with friends? Totally acceptable. Also I’m no boomer I’m 20.
