How was that?
Religion is like a penis. It's ok to have one, it's ok to be proud of it, however:
Don't take it out in public, don't push it on children, don't think with it and don't write laws with it.
You seem to have a belief that religion is bad. You also seem to be ok 'taking those beliefs out in public'. Why do you think it is that you can push your beliefs out into the world but people should keep their religious thoughts to themselves?
.
What's the difference?
I have never said or implemented religion was a bad thing.
It is each to their own if they need there to be an invisible guy telling them how to live a good life through the mouth of some sort of priest.
But it should be to each on their own to find out whether they need it or not. Not through education, tradition, or at the worst case, the government.
And I refuse to see my standpoint as a belief, as acting against what I have written initially has evidently proven to be wrong through history.
Now replace "God" with "Vaccines". This argument is only valid if you believe religion is trivial enough to affect only the person who believes in it. Sure, for a select few, it may be an overglorified hobby, but for a good majority of the world, it is the single most important and defining aspect of their life. So this post isn't that simple.
It can be the defining aspect of many people's lives, that's perfectly fine. It's only a problem when you start defining OTHER PEOPLE's lives by it, especially against their will.
