It wasn’t the game that got played my friend. Sorry to hear it- but it’s for the best. Being with someone because there aren’t other options or you feel you don’t have options is not good for anyone. No one should ever be a “safety date” least of all a spouse. Likewise- if she simply enjoys attention and flirting- and that wasn’t something she was getting or she just wanted more- then it wasn’t going to work out anyway. You’re now free to find someone who hopefully will value you for you and not you for how you make them feel or what you do for them.
