The 100$ bills actually do have a faint maple smell on the one mark (I tested it when they were new). However it's faint, fades, and putting money that close to your face is never recommended because it is still covered in bacteria

I honestly wouldn't know, I grew up being allergic to the grass that coats the area around me while being blasted by cedar pollen from the rockies, which is also an allergy of mine. The really kicker; I was born in KY and I'm allergic to bluegrass.
All that makes me not want to put anything in my nose; in fact, I do my best to actively keep stuff out of my nose. That season finale of South Park was really funny.
