Certainly when it comes to a persons own children they have the right to decide what is best. Wether they see Santa as part of a shameless cash grab, have some religious or other issues, don’t have the money, or see Santa as dishonesty or fostering some mistrust of trust figures or whatever. That’s their business- so long as they are teaching their kids concurrently to be respectful of others beliefs too. No one needs to know if you believe in santa or gods or whatever- and no one needs you to try to convince them to believe or not believe.

Science IS wonder and majesty. It’s soaring through the air and touching other planets and being likely the first human to ever see a thing or know it exists. It’s mystery and the unknown, questions that may never he answered and seeing the awe inspiring and miraculous nature of things. When ignorance or whatever is dangerous sure, shatter illusions. Let people know they need to wash their hands and that eating only kale doesn’t make them clean of all disease or that their god might protect them from TB, but not your child- so they need to get vaccinated so your child can be safe too. But if Babs believes her crystal necklace enhances her love chakra or whatever- who’s she hurting? Let her do her thing.
